I have been shopping at Netrition.com for about a year now. Without netrition.com, I would be running all over town trying to pick up key low-carb ingredients that are stocked in one local grocery store but not the others. Also, where I live, I don't have to pay any sales tax on my netrition.com purchases. The savings on taxes alone usually covers their low shipping charges.
The following are some hard-to-find low carb products that you can buy through netrition.com:
Carbquik - low carb baking mix similar to bisquik.
Almond Meal - great tasting flour.
Hazelnut Meal - another great tasting flour.
Aloha Nu Coconut Flour - this ingredient has tons of potential but is a bit tricky to work with. I'd like to see more people to experiment with coconut flour.
Flax Meal - flax is all the rage right now.
Vital wheat gluton - I consider this a great alternative to flour. But some people have trouble digesting it properly and others have allergies.
Soy Protein Powder (soy isolate)- Great substitute for flour. Plain has little to no flavor.
Soy Flour - This is simply ground soy beans. It works well as a flour replacement but has a funky soy taste that I consider too overpowering for most recipes.
Xanthan gum - Seems to work good making cookies chewie and not crumbly. Some people use to thicken liquids. I'm still experimenting with this ingredient.
Splenda Quick Pack - one packet = 1 cup of sugar. This form of splenda does not contain fillers and therefore is much lower in carbs than granular splenda.
Da Vinci Syrups - the low carb syrups offer a wide variety of flavors. Online low carbers can't seem to get enough of these.
Carb Counter brownie mix - pretty good low carb brownies.
Cinnamunch - Cinnamon pork rinds. These remind me of Taca Bell's cinnamon twists.
Walden Farms Chocolate Syrup - a little watery but better than no chocolate.
Heinz Ketchup reduced sugar or one carb - "one carb" and "reduced sugar" are different names for the same product.
Baja Bob's Sugar Free Margaritas and other mixers - Now tequila makes her clothes fall off in more ways than one.

I ran across a very interesting blog today: http://www.mrlowbodyfat.blogspot.com/ .
This man has lost over 100 pounds on a low-carb diet. He is down to about 10% body fat and is trying to develop a sixpack. The picture to the right says it all.
His blog has some great advise. Check it out!

I have just added "The Incredible Shrinking Ladies" (http://shrinkingladies.wordpress.com/). I love the concept of multiple blog authors. This means that the blog life and posting frequency is not dependent upon a single author's varying level of interest. The focus is on weight loss, not necessarily low-carb. However, I think you will find many familiar low-carb bloggers.
Also, I have done my monthly re-sort of the blogs listed below. Anyone who has not posted in October has slipped down toward the bottom. My favorite blogs with October updates have floated to the top.

Today, I went through my monthly clean-up. Any blogs that had no posts over the last month have been dropped down to the bottom of this list. I also removed a couple of blogs that fizzled out shortly after their start-up.
A new blog, Sharing the Magic of Low Carb Living was added. It is by Vickie, the author of the Kickin' Carb Clutter blog. I don't fully understand why the new blog. Regardless, she was very actively posting to the old one and I expect we'll see the same on her new blog.

Hello, My name is Amy. I am 42 years old, married with two teenage kids, two dogs, and two cats. I was diagnosed with Diabetes in June of 2006. Since then I have been working to get my blood sugar under control with diet and exercise alone. It has been very hard, but I still hold out hope to get there. This blog will journal my life as I work towards regaining my health.
Added: http://breadless-mrsb.blogspot.com/ (Breadless Mrs. B)
I love bread. But I can't eat bread (among other things), 'cause it makes me fat.

Just discovered lowcarbdude.com. This blog is by Brian Cormier. Brian is a the author of "Hump Day" -- a weekly humour/general interest column currently running exclusively in the Moncton Times & Transcript (Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada). He is also a member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC) and the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.

Any blogs not receiving new posts during August have been dropped to the bottom. I will re-sequence the blog feeds about once a month based on how recently they have been updated.

Blogger has recently added a polling feature. I created a poll about how to break through diet barriers. Please take a moment to cast your vote in the side-bar at the right.

Today, I was surfing youtube.com's low carb video clips and I ran across a video created by someone that I recognized, Oh.2.B.Fit. She had been posting occasional comments on my blog. I had previously looked at her blogger profile but didn't see any blogs listed on it. Well, I thought that if she had youtube clips that she probably had posted other stuff somewhere on the internet and did a search. And, that is how I discovered the Oh.2.B.Fit blog this afternoon. I haven't had a chance to read very much, but the blog looks wonderful. There are so many delicious looking low-carb recipes on there. The pictures make my mouth water.

I have just added another blog to this feeds site. This one is called Emzi's Low-Carb Journey. While it is fairly new (about 2 months), the author has a second blog that has been going for a couple of years now. So, I am fairly confident that she will not quickly lose interest in this one.

I have added feeds for a fairly new low carb diet blog called "Measures of Success" (http://measuresofsuccess.blogspot.com/). This one has more of an editorial social perspective. The author is articulate and has done quite a bit of posting in the last couple of months.

I have just added: Low Carb Freedom of Speech (lowcarb-freedom-of-speech.blogspot.com).
PJ over at the Divine Low Carb blog is trying to start up a another new low carb blog that allows for multiple blog authors. She is calling it Low Carb Freedom of Speech. This would be one blog where anyone can post their own articles. I think her intent is to discuss topics that other sites have censored but I suspect the blog will likely expand it's scope. Regardless, it's worth keeping an eye on.
It got me thinking in general about multi-author blogs. I think it might be nice to create a more general low carb blog and allow numerous authors. This would be a bit less personal but would allow for a wider variety of articles. It would also take the pressure off of individuals to keep their own blog current. I wonder how many out there would be interested in co-authoring a blog????

Added "Low Carb Confidential"...
Low carb weight loss insight and recipes from someone who’s done it.
Added "Kick'n Carb Clutter"...
The Daily Ups and Downs of Living the Low Carb Lifestyle in a High Carb
Added The Low-Carb Band-It. Here's the low-down:
On a quest to a healthier life she was banded in July of 2005. Having PCOS and being Insulin Resistance has created an interesting journey for her and she is now convinced that the safest and healthiest alternative for her weight loss and healthier lifestyle is by consuming a low-carb diet and eating as close to whole foods as possible.

I think that Haole Fats' blog is quite entertaining. He hasn't been at low-carb for long but it appears that he's starting off on the right track. Hopefully he'll stick with it so that we can continue reading his posts.
I have also added a news reel to the bottom of the screen. It displays news headlines relating to low-carb lifestyles.

If you are a frequent visitor to this site and you use Internet explorer, you may not be looking at the most recent list of articles. To force the feed lists to refresh, hold down the CTRL
Monday, June 4, 2007
If using Internet explorer while frequently visiting this web page, you might not always be getting an updated list of recent blog feeds. The problem occurs when you visit this page more frequently than I post or modify this blogger site. As a fix it on your end, do the following.
- From the menu bar, select "Tools" then "Internet Options.
- Click the "General" tab at the top.
- Under the "Browsing History" section, click on the button "Settings".
- Under "Check for newer version of stored web pages", click the radial button beside "Every time I visit the web page".
- Click "OK" then "OK" again.
If anyone knows an easier fix, preferably one that doesn't require changing users' browser settings, please let me know. Thanks.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the feeds refreshing properly. If this site is visited frequently, it may not always refresh the most recent posts. I was told that holding shift and clicking refresh would work but it doesn't seem to. I have written to blogger support. If any of you can offer a tip, I'd greatly appreciate it.

- Changed the URL... This is only day two, so hopefully nobody has linked to this site yet.
- Added URL links to each blog's main page... Some folks don't know how to get to the main page from some blog's post pages.
- Added "The Steaks are High" blog... I just found this one today and some of her recipes look very good. Plus the most recent post references "the bear" which means that the author must be cool.

This blogger page is associated with my own low carb diet blog, "Big Daddy D's Low Carb Diet and Recipes" (http://lowcarbohydrate.blogspot.com/).
The idea was stolen from PJ of The Divine Low Carb. She had generated a second blogger page that showed all of her favorite low carb blogs along with most recent posts. Her list of favorite blogs can be found at lowcarbmania.blogspot.com.
Having made this page, I no longer have to visit each of my favorite blogs individually. I can see at a glance what is new on each site. This is as much for me as it is a means to share my favorite blogs with each of you.
